PGMS
Branches > Texas Branch
The
Texas Branch of PGMS was founded in 2006. The members were originally
part of the Ozark Branch and because of the large number of members
in Texas, it was decided to start our own Branch. Our membership
consists of individuals throughout Texas and surrounding states
who are managers of hospitals, city school districts, city parks,
golf courses, botanical gardens,universities, institutions and grounds
maintenance contractors. The Branch holds quarterly meetings throughout
Texas and they consist of an educational program concerning a grounds
management related topic, a short business meeting with lunch provided.
When available, we conduct tours of the facility we are meeting
at and one of our meetings is held concurrent with another related
association meeting.
The
original members of the Branch were: Kevin L. Dilliard, CGM of SMU;
John Burns, CGM of University of Texas; Tom Dew of Texas A&M University;
Brian Gerberich of Dallas Theological Seminary; Barbara Hatchel,
CGM with the City of Amarillo Parks (now Amarillo School District);
Michael Hugg with Embark Tree & Landscape Services; Dewey Shroyer
of Texas Tech University; and Norman Strang, CGM with Presbyterian
Hospital of Dallas.
