Pesticide Applicator Recertification on Wednesday, Jan. 23, has been approved for the following categories:

VA Ornamental Pest Control - (3-A), Turf (3-B), Registered Technician (60), Right of Way (6), Regulatory (9), Demonstration & Research Pest Control (10)
MD Ornamental Exterior (3-A), Ornamental Interior (3-B), Turf (3-C), Demonstration & Research (10), Right-of-Way and Weed (6)
DC Exterior Ornamental Plants (3-A), Lawn & Turf (3-B), Interior Ornamental Plants (3-C)

To qualify for pesticide applicator recertification, you are required to attend the entire day on January 23, 2008. You must provide proof of attendance by checking in at registration and signing in on the recertification roster with your name and permit number, at the beginning of the course on January 23, 2008. Attendance will be verified during and at the end of the training session. We will remit your paperwork to each jurisdiction.

Seminar also approved for:
ISA Certified Arborist CEU's (call for details)
VA Certified Nurserymen Credits

The DC Branch of PGMS is holding its “2008 Green Industry Professional Seminar and Pesticide Applicator Recertification Training” on January 22, 23 & 24, 2008 at the Ernst Community Cultural Center at Northern Virginia Community College in Annandale, VA.

The seminar will cover various topics (see below) with several sessions available in Spanish.
Attendees can receive pesticide license recertification for MD, DC, and VA on Wednesday, January 23. (Please see sidebar to the right)

Directions

From Fairfax and West:
Take Rt. 236 (Little River Turnpike) E. to Wakefield Chapel Rd., turn right. Take third left into the back of NOVA Annandale Campus. The Cultural Center is located in front of the rear parking lot.

From the East:
Go West on Rt. 236 to the NOVA Annandale Campus on the left. Turn left at the light at Wakefield Chapel Rd. Take the third left to enter the rear parking lot.

From the Capitol Beltway, I-495:
Take the Exit for Little River Turnpike West (52 A), follow directions from the East.

Parking:
Park in Lot B in front of the Cultural Center. Parking has been pre-paid. Your permit will be given to you at the registration table and must be displayed in your car.
