Ohio's Beau Mastrine Achieves
CGM Status
(Baltimore,
MD) - The Professional Grounds Management Society (PGMS) has announced
that Beau Mastrine of Wooster, Ohio has become the 128th grounds
management professional to successfully complete its Certified Grounds
Manager (CGM) program.
Mastrine
currently serves as director of grounds at The College of Wooster.
PGMS recently spent a few moments getting to know Beau.
PGMS:
How long have you been in your current position Director of Grounds
at The College of Wooster?
Mastrine:
I have been in this position for six of the 12 years I have been
employed at the College of Wooster.
PGMS:
Why did you want to become a CGM?
Mastrine:
I wanted to better educate myself as a professional with in the
green industry.
PGMS:
What did you think of the program?
Mastrine:
I thought the program was very helpful, in organizing my responsibilities.
I used my submitted presentation for portions of my self evaluation
this spring. Now that this program is completed, this program helps
me tell "the story" of what the responsibilities are for
the Director of Grounds for the College of Wooster.
PGMS:
What advice do you have for aspiring CGMs?
Mastrine:
Take your time and do a lot of planning, prior to the program. Start
your documentation a couple of years before you begin. This approach
helped me put together this detailed puzzle.
