October 25 Three Dog Night & The Briggs Bluesbusters
The
Briggs Bluesbusters will open the evening at 6:30 p.m. This Briggs
& Stratton house band has 11 members (eight are company employees)
including John Shiely, chairman, president and CEO, as rhythm
guitarist. The Bluesbusters have opened for top bands including
The Beach Boys; Ray Charles; Blood, Sweat & Tears and James
Brown. They have also competed in Fortune Magazines Corporate
Battle of the Bands at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. The band
plays covers by soul and blues-based rock artists as well as the
company anthem Briggs & Stratton Man.
Three
Dog Night will take the stage at 8 p.m., presented by Briggs &
Stratton.
From 1969-1974, nobody had more Top-10 hits, moved more records
or sold more concert tickets than Three Dog Night. During this
period Three Dog Night was the most popular band in America with
21 consecutive Top-40 hits and 12 straight gold LPs. By late 1975,
they had sold nearly 50 million records. Hits include classics
such as Joy to The World, Mama Told Me (Not
To Come), Black And White, Shambala
and Easy To Be Hard.

October 26 Diamond Rio & Pure South
Pure
South will kick-start the night. Pure South is one of Louisvilles
longest running and most respected country bands. With more than
12 years experience together on big and small stages, this group
is guaranteed to please any crowd. Their vast song list and polished,
action packed performance draws fans of all types from far and
wide. Expertly written originals and everyones favorite cover
tunes make up some well rounded and fine tuned entertainment.
And Pure South now introduces a newly re-vamped show!
Diamond Rio will headline the Friday night concert starting at
8 p.m., presented by Ariens. Diamond
Rio has created a remarkable track record of awards, chart-topping
hits and critical acclaim, along the way selling more than 10
million albums, with each release certified Gold or Platinum.
With nine No. 1 hits, 15 Top-5 singles and 13 Grammy nominations,
these 1998 Grand Ole Opry inductees have consistently demonstrated
